We are delighted to have been awarded a large Research and Development Grant by Scottish Enterprise this August totalling £1.4m. We plan to use the Grant to help accelerate Research and Development in emerging positioning and database technologies, the Grant will also support the addition of at least seven new staff members to our team. We are thrilled to be making waves in the market, this level of Government support is a great endorsement of our technology, expertise! Here is more.

In June we announced a very exciting collaboration with TomTom, which will enable a seamless navigation experience indoors and outdoors globally through the elimination of GPS blackspots with sensewhere indoor positioning. This intelligence, resource planning and efficient execution to deliver their services’ full potential. You can read more about this in our news tab here.

We have integrated Micello’s new Indoor Context API into our adwhere service opening up new marketing possibilities and enabling context searching to users and intelligent delivery of contextually aware advertisements to consumers.

As a longstanding partner of the leading global providers of indoor maps and navigation data, both Micello and sensewhere are very pleased to work together and provide venue owners and marketers with tools to deliver compelling solutions adding indoor location-based services and intelligence to their mobile offers. Here is more.

August was a busy month for us all as we bubble wrapped all of our precious software and patents from our old workplace in Kittle Yards and had it moved to our brand new office in the heart of Edinburgh, 108 Princes Street. In line with our ongoing expansion the office can now accommodate growing staff numbers and put our HQ in a fabulous location to operate from.

Along with our colleagues, family and friends we had our first office party and celebrated the last day of the Fringe Festival Fireworks on the 29th of August which went off with a bang with the spectacular display right in front of us from the balcony.

We’ve had a lot to share this last quarter and received numerous press mentions as a result. We had local newspapers cover our news on our grant from Scottish Enterprise as well as our collaborating with TomTom and Micello in addition to plenty of online coverage talking about our promising journey ahead.

We’ve had different media reporting our stories, from BBC News, the Times and the Scotsman to Marketing Blog and even a couple of LBMA podcasts. Paper clippings and more online coverage can be found archived in our news section on our website.

This year’s MMA CEO & CMO Summit took place in July and was attended by Rob in Sonoma CA. It was the annual think tank for the mobile industry’s top influencers, leaders and decision makers showcasing the importance and role of the C-suite in reaching mobile maturity.

In August Anna attended the Turing Festival – Full Stack Marketing which brought together digital marketers from a diverse range of backgrounds and disciplines for a sophisticated conversation about how the business and practice of marketing has been changing in 2016.

We also had Anna and Stephanie attend the Go Social Go Media event in Glasgow to boost their knowledge and inspiration for the season ahead. This event consisted of a number of workshops, learning and developing essential social media marketing skills for business.

For a couple of days in September Rob and Blake could be seen talking location with the tech savvy crowds at CTIA. The Wireless Association is the industry hotspot for everything wireless and was hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada.
